CrispSites

Online Stores or Catalogs

Purpose

You need a website to multiple products or services, which allows you to accept and track orders/payments over the internet and make changes to your product catalog.

Our Easy 5 Step Procedure

  1. Schedule an online design meeting.
  2. Submit business information.
  3. Submit website information.
  4. Attend the virtual design meeting.
  5. Populate your website with products/items.

1. Schedule an online design meeting

An online design meeting is a slot of 8 hours starting at either 8 AM PST on weekdays, during which we will work with you to get your website up and running. Our goal is to have your website completed within these 8 hours to keep your cost at minimum. At times you may need more detailed work or extra functionality, which may increase the time and cost needed to complete (click here for pricing information).

You can request a meeting for any available slot, but a small down payment of $100 (applied towards the website design cost) is required before we can reserve it for you. This down payment is refundable as long as cancellation is made 48 hours before the appointment. If a down payment is not made and your requested time slot is still available, you will be notified at the time of the meeting which will take place as normal. Whether you appointment is reserved or not, you will be sent periodical reminders regarding the meeting.

We highly suggest you make a reservation, as our schedule can get pretty full.

Before your actual design appointment time, it is best that you complete the next steps.

2. Submit business information

Although most items within this step can be provided at the time of the appointment, it is better to complete it before to avoid any delays.

We request you to provide us with the following basic information.

  1. Your Name/Business Name
  2. Short Description of Website (i.e. what do you need the website for)
  3. Logo/Branding
  4. Domain Name (e.g. cristpsites.com, mybusinessname.com, mycompany.net)
  5. Hosting Service (if you're not sure what this is, you can wait for the meeting to discuss)
  6. Payment methods you wish to use (Paypal, Credit Card Online Gateway)

3. Submit website information

Website information here pertains to all data needed for the website to be developed and displayed according to your specifications. Sending this to us before the appointment is highly recommended but not required. Having the content ready is required however to avoid delays.

Some clients already have brochures or Microsoft Excel worksheets prepared containing the information/items they want on their websites. Sending that to us digitally (or through postal service) is the preferred method of providing us with website information.

Alternatively, if no content is available, then the following basic elements must be prepared prior to the meeting:

  1. Directory Structure (menus, sub-menus, e.g. Home, About Us, Contact Us, Services)
  2. Content for all pages (what should each of the pages within the directory structure display including text, images, and forms)
  3. Special Requests (if you like a particular feature of another website, you can show it to us and we can incorporate the same, and usually improved, functionality)

We will work with you during the design process to refine and optimize your material as needed. Based on the amount of detail each page contains and its functionality, the suggested amount of pages you incorporate in your website is 5-7.

4. Attend the Virtual Meeting

This is the most exciting part of the process. At the time of your requested appointment, we will give you a phone call to initiate the design process and try to set up other means of visual communication (in particular screen share, where you can see our screen).

The meeting has a few steps:

  1. We discuss with you the information you have provided to us and discuss the domain name, hosting and basic design layout/directory structure. If any item is not ready, you will have the remainder time of the meeting to complete them (approx. 30 mins).
  2. We design the site's graphical layout and directory structure and update you when completed (approx. 45 mins).
  3. We design each of the pages within the directory structure and update you as each page is designed. You have the ability to provide feedback regarding the pages so that we can make changes according to your expectations.
  4. We present to you the website and finalize all details, leaving you with a complete, functional website.

NOTE: As part of our policy of keeping things simple and straightforward, we inform you that the payment for the website (click here for pricing) is required at the beginning of the meeting. This helps us keep administrative overhead at a minimum, allowing us to design websites at the lowest prices.

5. Populate your website

Now that your website is ready, you will be supplied with an online tutorial on how to manage (add/edit/remove) products/items on your website and how to manage the orders you receive.
